And now...

... Mariah Careh. She was in Macy's around 5 P.M yesterday afternoon fo perfum's launch (yes there are a lot of perfum's launch in NY City) for 45 minutes and I was also there at this time. Finally I'm really wondering if paparrazi will be my future job. For the moment, I'm just training to take some pictures but I can't sell them, because we don't see... Mariah. Next time, maybe.

Tomorrow there is a Pizza Party at school on lunchtime, and on friday I've got a lunch with my classmate. So maybe it's my last post from NY because usually I post on lunchtime.

Take care of you and see you soon.
I hoped George read this blog and help me to stay two more months but it doesn't happen... yet!

$ 1 million

Lili is sick, so she saw a doctor. And this doctor told her : You are doing a deep depression. So he recommanded her to stay two more months in NY. She missed only few dollars. Who want to help her... and save Lili?

NB: Lili should come back on next sunday morning, but maybe she won't 'cause of Air France' strike.

Manolo... again

If you want to see more...

Baptistian church

Shopping isn't the most important (it isn't the only thing I did this week end, at least). I went out in Chinatown on friday night, I walked a lot in Soho, not only for shopping but also Art galerie. And on sunday morning (8 P.M, so I couldn't go to swimmimg pool as each week end) I went with Jin A listen some gospel in Harlem's church (on picture, it's Saint Paul church, closed Ground Zero).

By the way, Brother and sister is my favorite sitcom in this moment. Sure (unfortunaly) I didn't understand everything...

Funny shopping

It may be funny to shop in NY. Sometimes there is a DJ in live, like in the store AX on fifth avenue last saturday, or we could take a picture with a top model for a perfum's launch... only for men. So the top was a man (yes, the man on picture). And it happened in Abercrombie & Fitch, always on Fifth avenue, this week end.

But shopping can also make you upset. For example, I bought two shoes for two weeks. Someone of you know my feet are a little deformed and this problem is getting worst and worst if I walk a lot. And in NY, especially when it's shinny, everybody walk a lot. So now I couldn't put my new shoes... Don't talk me about Manolo Blahnik (on second picture), please, I can't put my feet into these shoes (from 600 to 1500 dollars).

And the summer is -almost- back

After afternoon class, I walked in Greenwich village for some shopping, but there are yet a lot of summer's sold. Never mind, it would be nice to walk for this sunny day.
Have good fun

Halloween will be soon...

Would you like to spend a night where people have heard the broken piano? If yes, go to New York ! Fantasy World is a shop for Halloween close to Greenwich Village and just behind a wall for 07/11 victims.

B'way avenue

Meet famous people become in a habit in Manhattan. Coming back to YMCA yesterday evening on Broadway avenue, I heart a man calling on his phone louder, so I looked at him (on my left) and saw... Dominic Purcell, the older brother in Prison Break. He was with his girlfriend, hand in hand, she wear a hoddie (sweatshirt with une capuche). So I couldn't recognise her. I've got no pictures because my camera was out. No, no... i' m not ready to be a paparazzi.

Take care

(I can't download pictures today, I'll try later)

Whole Food

What' s a surprise! We can eat very well in NY. Usually I buy some fresh salad or hot meals in a supermarket called Whole Food for 7.99 dollars per pound. My favourite is a carott soup with ginger. It 's very delicious and the small one costs only 2.99 dollars. In general all products are good and fruits are organics. Sometimes I go to eat in my small bedroom, sometimes I eat with my friends in Whole Food where there are also some tables.
In the YMCA, there is a small cafeteria, but I don' t like it.

Take care of you and lovely greetings

NB: About the picture: this was a farmer market just near the YMCA on last saturday.

Chilly weather

The summer is going away day after day. This week end, it was very cold on the morning, and chilly but sunny on the afternoon.

NB: Katharina went back to Germany last sunday. And I didn't see George (or Georgie as say the very funny and nice Jin A) again. Sniff....

Week-end in museum

This week-end, I visited the new version of Moma, the great MET (which some archeologism and middle age's fan would like) and my favourite Guggenheim museum, where there is a funny exhibition of Richard Prince.

Have a fun and take care

Crazy people

New Yorkers are really very friendly. They help you if you' re lost or just smiled, even in the subway. But there are also a lot of people complety crazy. They spoke alone in the street. One morning, an hysterical woman started to cry because the Starbuck's waiter talked to her in a bad way. Yesterday, a man very well dressed (Armani suit or something like that) spoke reading New Yorker Observer and sang badly:You say Yeah,Yeah... I love you. His nose was a little red, and his arm (tremblait, mes voisins ne savent plus comment on dit en anglais, et moi, non plus evidemment). Cocainman, maybe...
NB: We had fun with George (alias Michael) last night.

Smokers - No smokers

As all students, i live in a small room. And now a school's story:
Last week (maybe on Friday morning I don't remember exactly) the school's director Carrie (Don't confuse with Carrie Bradshaw) went in all the classroom, asking every woman : Do you smoke? Do you smoke? Do you smoke... Everybody answered No. Finally she told us that a woman smoked in the restroom. "It's a big security problem for us", she added. I think I looked like a little shocked by these military manners. And then, after Melinda went out, I don't know why, maybe because of conditionned air, I coughed (du verbe "tousser") a little. My young teacher Malina looked at me in a strange way.

I have also to tell you that just before Carrie 's coming, I have just said that I stopped smoke four years ago.

So, yesterday afternoon, Carrie went in my classroom and called me : Valerie. I went in the corridor with her. Usually Carrie never smile, and at this moment, she was really friendly as I never saw her. Then, she told me, smiling :" This morning, you smoked in the restroom". I laughed : "No, it's not me. I stopped smoke four years ago." Carrie ' s face became white: You don't smoke? Me : No. Carrie : Did you see someone smoking in the restroom this morning? Me: No... And I returned in my classroom, a little angry. I think my teacher accused me because I coughed...

NB : Tonight I see GEORGE... Remember, my lover. And it's true, he's a little smaller in the reality.

Liberty and free spirited

My new friends

On my right, it s Jin A and on my left, Katharina. Yesterday night, we took a drink in Peter s Bar, a real NY bar. So as in all countries, men watched base ball match (Yankees were playing but they lost) on a big screen and women were talking.
Cela me fait tres plaisir.
NB : Quelqu un sait-il ou est Cecilia.... A NY ?

My lover

It s amazing! I can t believe it! But it really happened. I saw GEORGE CLOONEY yesterday afternoon on Broadway avenue, around CBS. What else?

lundi 8 octobre 2007

I m sorry about photos (and english mistakes) but it s a question of times and equipement... i couldn t download pictures before tuesday. Yes ! I m on holiday, monday it s Colombus day. Teachers told them all museum are closed and it s a shopping day..... Du coup, avec mes copines Jin (corean) ert katherine (german) we ll go to Century 21, it s an old store selling clothes at good price. I bought yet Calvin Klein s shoes.
Friday evening, we went to see The Phantom of Opera... altough i liked just a little, the show was very beautiful.
Then saturday we went to Coney Island as Magali (www.brevesdemetro.com) suggested me. After walking until The little Odessa, we took the bus then subway until B klyn` north where among NY `s guide there is some artist `s shop. Unfortunaly all is expensive in NY even if dollar is cheap.
Take care

My hero

Yesterday afternoon i bought some New York's postal card for a friend and when i was paying the shopper shouted : Go out ! There was a man behind me, probably a toxicoman. So my hero, The shopper, save me, especially my money. But the bad man was waiting for me in front of the shop. So what did Lili? She went out by the other side of the shop...

Pour la tournee des bars, i was too tired and a little alone also...
Sinon I m the best, i m in level advanced. Japanese guys are always so kind, corean girls so hystericals and italian boy... so italian. Yesterday afternoon we go to farmer market in Union Square. This was for an exercice: the teacher give us some recipe and we [with your team] have to note the prices of different products which we need for cook [ c etait sans interet, mais comme ca on a vu lesfameux joueurs d echec, rencontre un americain d origine italienne qui nous a guide dans nos fausses courses...].

Sunny Sunday

Sunny Sunday
I m happy
so happy

I m very exciting to be there. [Bon en fait, nunuche a encore frappe, je me suis trompee en changeant l heure, resultat, je me suis reveillee a 6 heures au lieu de 7 heures, bref je suis crevee]. I m expecting for the result of the tests. At school, everybody are young, around 20 years old, and there is no French people. it s great !
I try to buy a XD card this afternoon to take some photos with sister s camera. I didn`t find it yesterday.

Welcome

The Frenchie Lili 66 devrait narrer d'ici quelques jours les aventures d'une certaine Lili66 à New York. A suivre.
